I spotted that my local Morrison’s has it on offer for £1.50 and according to mysupermarket.co.uk Sainsbury’s is selling it at £1.67 a bottle until 31/08/2010.

So, what does Kopparbergs Strawberry and Lime cider taste like? Well for a start it actually does taste of strawberries. I remember trying the Brothers strawberry cider and not being very impressed but this is very, very different. In fact other than saying that it tastes like strawberries with a hint of lime there is not much else to say.

Wetherspoons new menu launched this week. There are not as many changes as last time but it does have a selection of new dishes to you to enjoy and a selection of new side order options.
They have also launched the ‘Wetherspoons Foodie Guide’. This aims to make it easier for customers to choose food that matches their dietary needs.

Simple steak and chips

The biggest and perhaps most welcome new addition to the Wetherspoons menu is the new simple steak and chips.
Wetherspoons have listened to their customers who told them that they wanted the option of just steak and chips. So you can now have an 8oz rump steak, served with chips. It is also cheaper than the other steak options so as well as being tasty it is great value for money. But for those of you who like extra trimmings their full steak and grill range is still on the menu.

Again Wetherspoons have listened to what their customers want. People are now wanting to know more information about the food they eat. Wetherspoons have had a food facts section on their website for over three years now that let customers work out the dietary values of the food on their menu. Wetherpoons has already won many plaudits, including those from the Food Standards Agency, for amount of detail they provide about their food. They launched a nutritional information leaflet in 2009 that let customers in the pubs to look dietary information for all of their dishes. They have now taken this one stop further, in addition to the leaflet and the online guide they have now launched the Wetherspoons Foodie Guide which covers way more than just the calories, fat or salt content of the food, the welfare of the animals used and the countries of origin.

So you can enjoy your Wetherspoons food and know what is in it.

One of my favorite drinks at Wetherspoons is Buffalo Trace Bourbon and diet pepsi. I love that the Wetherspoons drinks menu is so wide and varied that it includes such rare bourbons like this. I have never seen it for sale in any other pub, so this is my special treat when I go to spoons.

However this leaves me with a problem, as I have also never seen it for sale in any of the supermarkets or off licenses I’ve looked in. I have found a few places that sell it online but there are not many and I will add to this list when I find anymore.

If you have not tried Buffalo Trace yet then I really recommend you do. It’s got such a sweet, mellow flavour that you do not have to be a whiskey lover to appreciate it and it is a lovely change if you are usually a whiskey drinker.
